Mina Huybrechts 

View / Vision  

Mina developed ‘View / Vision’, a woven work that investigates how we look and perceive. Inspired by observing a black grid from a tram window, she explored the difference between passive looking and active seeing. The piece uses a woven grid that is scaled up, scaled down, and overlapped to fragment the visual field, offering the viewer a moment of reflection. Depending on where someone focuses, the image behind can be perceived differently. The work invites a conscious shift from simply seeing to truly perceiving, highlighting how perception is subjective and changeable. 

‘View / Vision’ was shown at several exhibitions, including the KASK Graduation Show in June 2025 and the WONDER Festival in Kortrijk, and was selected for the Arts Thread Global Creative Graduate Showcase 2025.
