Color Currents

‘Color Currents’ is a research project into artistic Jacquard-woven textiles in which the relationship between visual perception and haptic experience takes centre stage. The project builds on research that Wojcik began during her internship at the TextielLab and further developed afterwards, both in the lab and in her own studio. 

The series consists of three designs featuring rich colour gradients and a pronounced three-dimensional effect. Undulating structures and subtle tonal transitions create an optical sense of movement, while shrinkage yarns enhance the 3D relief. Zuzanna works independently with specialised software for designing woven textiles and “writes” own weave structures.
