In ‘Figure’, Lisa Konno explores the interaction between fashion, movement and sound. At the TextielLab, Konno knitted costumes using a variety of structures and techniques. She experimented with shapes, stitch patterns, and textures, aiming to optimise both wearability and acoustic effects. Konno also combined a residency at the Europees Keramisch Werkcentrum, the international residency centre in Oisterwijk, with a working period in the TextielLab. In her work, she integrated ceramic elements that produce sound with movement, allowing choreography and music to emerge directly from the garments. The costumes tell a personal story of the female life journey, illustrating how fashion can be both liberating and constraining. 

The dance performance ‘Figure’, with choreography by Peter Leung, premiered in December 2025 and continued in further performances in January 2026.
