DIORAMALISM II
In ‘DIORAMALISM II’, Jan Gleie explores how memory functions, revealing the layered nature of time and media. At the centre of the exhibition is a panoramic Jacquard-woven wall hanging, based on a film still from the location where Gleie began his career as a filmmaker. The design has been translated into a textile made from linen yarns, with soft colour gradations that clearly render the details of the original image.
Alongside the wall hanging, the exhibition presents tin clay casts, photographic prints featuring text fragments from 1980s scripts written in Los Angeles, oil paintings of frozen film frames and video installations. The work was shown from 29 October to 2 November 2025 at Borgergade in Copenhagen.
