The German artist Claudia Wieser makes, among other things, tapestries and sculptures. She has worked in the TextielLab various times and has developed multiple large-scale tapestries in previous years. During the development process of an earlier series, she was inspired by a sample showing crisp lines in a pronounced silver-coloured yarn against a uniform blue field. This sample became the starting point for a new series of five tapestries.

Wieser wanted to create a series of works in a smaller format while maintaining the same material expression. She began the process by devising a single colour palette that could be applied across all the works. For each tapestry, variations in materials were developed to give each piece its own character, such as the addition of extra silver-coloured yarns or the use of hairy mohair instead of the more subdued merino wool yarns. In 2025, the work was shown at the Marianne Boesky Gallery in New York.
