Advanced Textile Program
The Advanced Textile Programme offers ten young participants the opportunity to enhance their textile skills and experience, guided by internal and external experts.
Advanced Textile Program
This year the following talents took part in the program: Alice Sowa, Anita Burato Colamedici, Adrian Kiss, Flora Bruce-Gardyne, Isa Roelink, Jacob Olmedo, Juliette Berthonneau, Persephone Thacker, Sofia Munk en Zara Muthama.
After several weeks of online work and sessions at the TextielLab, participants were given the unique opportunity to experiment with the lab’s machines alongside the product developers, from knitting and weaving to passementerie. They were guided throughout by two mentors: designer Kiki van Eijk and Kvadrat designer Nina Lolle. Intensive design research took place on site, making the lab this year a true playground for experimentation and discovery. In addition, there was an extensive (online) lecture programme featuring experts from the field, including Sanne Schuurman of Envisions, Mae Engelgeer, Jos Klarenbeek, Kiki van Eijk, Ursula Wagner and Samira Boon.
The final presentation took place online on 2 December. From the end of March until the end of May 2026, both the process and the outcomes will be presented to the public.
